Minden, NV - The Town of Minden has announced that the Westwood Park Splash Pad will be temporarily closed from Monday, June 16 through Wednesday, June 18, 2025, to complete necessary modifications aimed at improving drainage.
This work is part of ongoing efforts to enhance the functionality and reliability of the splash pad, which has required periodic closures for maintenance and cleaning. By addressing the drainage system now, the Town hopes to reduce future disruptions and extend the splash pad's availability throughout the summer.
“We understand this timing may be inconvenient, especially with the first week of summer break for many kids in Carson Valley,” said Town Manager JD Frisby. “However, these improvements are crucial to keeping the splash pad open more consistently going forward. We appreciate the community’s understanding and patience as we work to make Westwood Park a better experience for everyone.”
While the Westwood Park Splash Pad is temporarily closed, families are encouraged to visit the Minden Park Splash Pad, which will remain open for those looking to cool off and enjoy summer fun.
