
Minden, NV – Douglas County has announced the first set of public hearings on the fiscal year 2026-27 budget. The agenda will include an overview of the budget-development process and presentations by County departments and elected officials highlighting their functions.
The hearings will take place at the Historic Courthouse in Minden (1616 8th St, Minden, NV 89423). Presentation times are subject to change at the discretion of the chairman, but are tentatively scheduled as follows:

10 a.m. – Finance: Overview of County Budgets and Budget Process
11 a.m. – Sheriff
1 p.m. – Clerk-Treasurer
2 p.m. – District Attorney
3 p.m. – Indigent Defense

2:30 p.m. – Finance: Wrap Up of County Budgets and Budget Process
