Carson City, NV – The Nevada Association of County Clerks and Election Officials (NACCEO), in collaboration with the Nevada Secretary of State’s Office, will host a Statewide Mock Election Demonstration on Thursday, February 26, from 2-4 p.m. at the Nevada State Legislative Building, Room 3100, in Carson City. The event is being coordinated under the leadership of Douglas County Clerk-Treasurer Amy Burgans, who also serves as NACCEO Secretary/Treasurer, alongside NACCEO President Lacey Donaldson.
This interactive event will provide an inside look at the complete in-person voting process as it will occur in Nevada’s upcoming election cycle. Representatives from all 17 Nevada counties will demonstrate each stage of the process—including voter check-in, ballot casting, and tabulation—showcasing the secure and transparent procedures that support Nevada’s elections.
The demonstration is open to the public, media, and elected officials, offering a firsthand opportunity to observe how local and state election officials work together to ensure accuracy, security, and accessibility at every step.
“This mock election gives Nevadans a chance to see the system in action before ballots are cast in a live election,” said Burgans. “Our goal is to build public confidence by showing exactly how the safeguards and technology work together to protect every vote.”
