Douglas County aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA standards. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities and assistive technologies.
We conduct ongoing accessibility reviews and remediation efforts, including
Regular testing using automated and manual evaluation tools. Staff training on accessibility best practices. Remediation of digital documents and online forms. Monitoring and continuous improvement of website content.
Known Limitations
While we work diligently to ensure accessibility, some legacy content, third-party applications, or older PDF documents may not yet fully meet accessibility standards. We are actively identifying and prioritizing these items for remediation.
