Douglas County Parks and Recreation provides many opportunities for area adults who have grown up playing organized athletics to continue playing the sports they loved as a child. These activities afford us the opportunity to achieve recommended daily exercise, a chance to socialize, and a renewed sense of goal-setting and competition. Recreational sports are about creating a social atmosphere in a friendly, physical environment. The physical, psychological and mental benefits of belonging to a team ought to be seriously considered by all adults looking for a place to blow off some steam and have fun with like minded peers.
