CHANGE OF LOCATION FOR LIVESTOCK EVACUTAION, OPENING OF TRE COMMUNITY CENTER AS EVACUTION SITEMinden, NV - The evacuation location for large animals has changed from the Douglas County Fairgrounds to the Carson City Fairgrounds/Fuji Park in south Carson City.

Location: 601 Old Clear Creek Rd., Carson City, NV 89701

The Carson City Fairgrounds/Fuji Park is now designated as the evacuation site for livestock and large animals for those affected by the Tamarack Fire. The park cannot shelter small domestic pets such as dogs and cats.
Please provide food for your livestock, as it will not be provided by the facility. It is also encouraged to bring water buckets if possible.

The Douglas County Fairgrounds are currently being used for pre-planned events.

The Douglas County Community and Senior Center, located at 1329 Waterloo Lane in Gardnerville, is pet-friendly and remains an evacuation center for those with small domestic animals.

Anyone wishing to evacuate who lives south of Leviathan Mine Rd. will be asked to go to the TRE Community Center.
