A Public Service Announcement from Your Quad County Elected Officials on COVID 19 Elected Officials from the Quad Counties, Carson City, Douglas, Lyon, and Storey, came together while observing social distancing to speak with the public about their response to COVID-19.

Lyon County Chairwoman, Vida Keller, thanked everyone for doing their part in practicing social distancing. She gave a special thanks to everyone working to provide essential needs.

Storey County Chairman, Marshall McBride, reminded citizens that staying home is essential in fighting COVID-19. Storey County works with the other quad counties to monitor local and regional statistics and direct people to proper medical testing and services.

Carson City Mayor, Bob Crowell, spoke of the strength our communities are showing and the dedication of citizens and businesses. He gave a special thanks to educators and grocery store workers.

Douglas County Board of County Commissioners Chairman, Barry Penzel, reminded people to check-in on loved ones and to only go out for essential needs. He acknowledged that hearing the same message to stay home isn’t easy, but it is a message that needs to be repeated.
