Douglas County Asking Residents and Businesses to Participate in Economic Vitality Plan – Community SurveyMinden, NV- Douglas County is seeking community input related to the county’s Economic Vitality Plan (EVP).

The EVP was originally created in 2010 in response to the Great Recession as citizens, business and government were striving to create a more resilient local economy. The original EVP included a number of initiatives many of which have been completed, such as the Genoa Main Street Landscaping Enhancements and an 11% increase in the number of manufacturing businesses.

An update to the EVP is underway with a goal of presenting an updated plan for County Commissioners approval by the end of 2021. Several existing initiatives may remain in the plan while additional concepts will be added. The county would like your thoughts on which existing and new initiatives you believe should be included in the updated EVP.
