Douglas County Hosts Special Meeting for Development Agreement Between Park Ranch Holdings LLC and Master Plan Amendments

Weather pending-Douglas County is also currently looking at Livestreaming the meeting in the courthouse to provide additional seating in addition. DART Transportation will provide shuttles to and from CVIC Hall for those who wish to speak in public comment. We are doing are best to explore all options and accommodate the public. Public comment can also be submitted in written form and the meeting can be watched from any computer and smart device. We thank you for your patience.Douglas County would like to remind the public that on December 3, 2019 a special meeting of the Board of County Commissioners will be held at the CVIC Hall, 1602 Esmeralda Avenue, Minden, Nevada for the Possible Adoption (Second Reading) of Development Agreement between Park Ranch Holdings LLC and Douglas County and Master Plan Amendments, including but not limited to, changes in land use for approximately 1,044 acres of Receiving Area in the Topaz Ranch Estates Community Plan and the Minden/Gardnerville Community Plan owned by Park Ranch Holdings.

Due to increased interest in this item the County will prepare additional staging areas in and around the CVIC Hall and overflow capacity will be in across the Street in Minden Park.  The audio from the meeting will be projected at each of these staging areas.

The County has made special accommodations for the meeting to be livestreamed  on the Douglas County You Tube Channel (not yet live) This is our first attempt at livestreaming in a remote location with a new vendor.  We are proactively testing the location site prior to the meeting but we ask for patience from the public should we experience any technical difficulties.

Although the Community and Senior Center is a larger location, hosting a public meeting at this facility would disrupt very important activities and services we provide to the community. The Community and Senior Center on average feeds 500 seniors and hosts a variety of recreation activities daily.  Public comment has been averaging around six hours for these items making the need to start the meetings during the earlier part of the day.

Every member of the public who attends the meeting will have the opportunity to provide public comment to the Board on this and other items on the agenda.  Public comment may also be submitted in written form, or sent electronically to the Douglas County Manager’s Office at
