Douglas County Receives Generous Contribution from the Community Services FoundationMinden, NV- The Douglas County Community Services Foundation presented a generous contribution of $60,000.00 to the Douglas County Board of County Commissioners for the Topaz Ranch Estates (TRE) Community Center kitchen remodel project. This much needed remodel will provide residents of South Douglas County with a larger and more functional kitchen in the TRE Community Center for facility reservations such as special community events, family gatherings and the Douglas County Senior Congregate Dining program. The Community Center kitchen remodel is currently in progress and is expected to be completed by the end of this summer.

“The generosity of the Douglas County Community Services Foundation continues to support valuable needed community projects through the County,” Community Services Director Scott Morgan said. “This is the first Foundation project in South County and will positively improve the TRE Community Center which the County owns and operates.”

The Douglas County Community Services Foundation was formed in 2011 to support community and senior centers in Douglas County, at the Lake and in the Valley.

The Foundation is a non-profit 501(C)(3) corporation providing funding for additional design improvements to the Community & Senior Centers with the maximum amount of accountability.

Douglas County is extremely grateful to the Community Services Foundation for their very generous donation.
