Back-To-School Vaccine Clinic for Kids Hosted by Douglas County School District and Douglas County Community Health ClinicMinden, NV - The Douglas County School District and Douglas County Community Health Clinic invite parents/guardians to bring their children to the Back-To-School immunization clinic to receive all routine childhood vaccines.

This event will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2021 from 10am-5pm as a drive-thru behind the Douglas County Community Center in Gardnerville. The age range is kindergarten through High School; and college students are welcome as well.

The Douglas County School District requires vaccinations for students enrolling in school and entering 7th grade. For a list of immunization requirements, visit Immunize Nevada’s School Vaccinations page. College freshmen younger than 23 years old who are enrolled at a Nevada college or university and living in a dormitory are required to receive the Meningococcal Vaccine.

Parents vaccinating a child at the clinic should bring any notifications about vaccinations received from the school, the child’s insurance card, and previous vaccination records. Parents who cannot locate immunization records should contact their health care provider.

If their children were immunized in Nevada, parents can also visit Nevada WebIZ, a statewide immunization registry, at https://izrecord.nv.gov/public/Application/PublicPortal or call Nevada WebIZ at 1 (877) 689-3249.

Medicaid and most major insurances will be accepted. There is an administration fee for those uninsured; however, no one will be turned away due to the inability to pay.

This clinic will be run on a first come first serve basis. Appointments are preferred. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call Douglas County Health Nurse at 775-782-9038.
