VHR Advisory Board


The function of the VHR Advisory Board is to hear enforcement appeals filed by VHR owners, to consider applications for VHR special use permits for Tier three (3) VHR rentals and to render advice to the Board of County Commissioners on proposed changes to Chapter 20.622 of the Douglas County Code when necessary.


The VHR Advisory Board meets periodically to fulfill its role in the administration of the Douglas County VHR program. Meetings of the VHR Advisory Board will be publicly noticed on the County's website three days prior to the meeting. The first meeting of the VHR Advisory Board has not been schedule. When it is scheduled, the public will be able to view meeting agendas and minutes by clicking here.


The VHR Advisory Board consists of five (5) members who are residents of the Lake Tahoe Township, a majority of which shall not be current VHR permit holders. The Board of County Commissioners shall appoint members to the VHR Advisory Board.

This is a 5 member board with a 2-year term.
