What forms are available from the Recorder's Office?
The Declaration of Homestead.
This form protects the homeowner's equity (up to $550,000.00) in their home from involuntary liens.
The Declaration of Value.
Upon the transfer of any real property in the State of Nevada, a special tax called the Real Property Transfer Tax is imposed. The Declaration of Value is a form prescribed by the Nevada Tax Commission to provide information with regard to the transfer of real property. The form must be filled out completely and in compliance with recording standards.
It may be obtained in any County Recorder's Office and/;or website (if website is available in our county). It may also be obtained from the State of Nevada, Department of Taxation website at tax.state.nv.us
How to I get a copy of my deed?
Douglas County provides a search engine for finding recording information pertaining to all documents recorded. After identifying the correct document, please fill out the copy request form and mail to:

Copy fees are $1.00 per page. If a certified copy is required and additional $4.00 per document will be charged.
How do I obtain the appropriate forms?
Many office supply stores carry blank forms other than the Homestead and Declaration of Value form. The Internet also has down-loadable forms available to the public.
