Share Because You Care

The Share Because You Care Program provides you with an opportunity to share a gift with your community, Douglas County.  Gifts that will be enjoyed today and for generations.

While our parks and recreation programs are supported by the county budget, the budget does not cover many items.  Here’s where you come in.  The gift catalog provides an avenue for you to contribute to the park and recreation program of your choice.

Contributing to this worthwhile gift program, you make a lasting impact to the continued growth and progress of our community parka and recreation programs.

Working together, we will build a better community to share with future generations.

Reaching out, to lend a hand

There are many opportunities or giving that don’t involve cash donation. Volunteers are needed for planting trees, installing a park bench, annual park clean-ups, laying sod, planting flowers, special events, and simply watching for vandalism.

Share Because You Care

At some point in our lives, every one of us has thought that we would like to be remembered in some way.  You are given that opportunity with the Douglas County Parks and Recreation Department’s Gift Catalog Program.

You may make a gift in the name of a special person, an organization, in your own name, or anonymously.  All donors will receive special recognition from the Douglas County Parks and Recreation Department.

Cash donations can go to support the project of your choice such as:

Sand volleyball courts     
Picnic table concrete pads for handicap access 
Play equipment           
Flower beds      
Drinking fountains
