Farmer's Market

Ballet
Follows the Royal Academy method of ballet teaching more than dancing. Develops concentration, imagination, coordination, quick thinking, self-discipline and self-confidence.
Held at the World Gym, Wednesdays or Saturdays, fee is $48/$59 monthly plus a $15 monthly service fee.

Yoga
This ancient life science of Hatha Yoga is the path to long life and happiness.  Yoga focuses on the whole person; body, mind and spirit.
Held at the Recreation Annex, Monday/Thursday, 9:30 - 11m   Fee is $40 monthly.

Tai-Chi
Learn the soft martial art, or exercise form, that originated in China thousands of years ago

Held on Saturdays 8-10 am at various locations.  Fee is $5 per session.

World Tai-Chi/Oi Gong Day
A gathering for all persons interested in improving their health and well being through the practice of Tai Chi. 
Held on Saturday, April 24 from 10am to 12pm at Minden Park.  Free 

Natural Health Approaches
Learn natural ways to support and heal your body with foods, herbs, supplements and remedies. 
Held at the Recreation Annex Building on Tuesdays January 5 - 26 and March 2 - 23 from 1 - 2 pm and on Thrursdays February 4 - 25 and April 8 - 29 from 7 - 8pm. Fee is $40 per session.
 

Fly Fishing
Learn casting and it's mechanics, knots, entomology (bugs) of the ares, matching the hatch, how to read water, the gear and proper catch and release techinques.  Class is held on Tuesdays from 6 - 7:30pm at the Angler's Edge January 12 - Fenurary 16 and February 23 - March 30. Fee is $125 per session.

Scrap Booking All Day Crop
Bring plenty of photos for this uninterrupted day of scrap booking on your own 6-foot table. 
Held on Saturdays January 16, February 20, March 13 (11am - 7pm), April 17 from 10am-5pm at Gardnerville Elementary School.  Fee is $10 per date.

Digital Photography
This class will help the student instruction, critques, photographic tips and weekend photo shoots. 
Held on Tuesdays February 2 thru March 16 from 7 - 9pm at the Recreation Annex Building. Fee is $85. Students need to supply thier own digital camera and have access to ink jet photo printer.

Making Sense of Investing
This class will help educate the student so that they can make informed decisions about retirement including strategies and goals. 
Held on Tuesdays January 19, 26 and February 2 from 6 - 7pm at Edward Jones Investment. Fee is $10.

Concealed Weapon Certification, Ages 21 and up
This course is approved for concealed carry weapons applicants, but can be taken by anyone to learn the safe use of handguns. 
Held W/F/Sa at the Recreation Annex, January thru April sessions.  Fee is $90 per session plus a $10 insurance fee payable to instructor.

Practical Pistol Course, Ages 21 and up
This one day course covers immediate action response drills, using active and moving targets.
Held on April 24  from 8 am - 5 pm at the Douglas County Shooting Range.  Fee is $125 per session plus a $10 insurance fee payable to instructor.

Dog Obedience
A course designed to establish good conduct and curbing bad habits in your dog. 
Held on Wednesdays, 6-week sessions from 7-8 pm at Douglas County Fairgrounds.  Fee is $80 per dog per session.

Cross Country Ski
Students will learn basic cross country skiing. Students will need to provide their own transportation and equipment. Class meets at Scott's Lake Trailhead in Hope Valley.
Held at Scott's LakeTrailhead in Hope Valley, January, February, or March sessions, from 2 - 4 pm. Fee is $50 per session

Jazz/Hip Hop
Each dance class will have a great warm-up, stretch, across the floor technique and aerobic fun combination.
Held at the Dance Workshop, January 7 - 28 and February 4 - 25 sessions, Thursdays 6:30 - 7:30pm, Fee is $50 per session.

Adult  Volleyball League
Registration 1/25 - 2/22, $200 per team, Season runs 3/9 - 5/21.

Adult Flag Football League
Registration 11/23 - 12/30, $450 per team, Season runs 1/10/10-3/28/10.

Adult Softball League
Registration 3/8 - 4/16,  Season runs 4/26 - 7/29.

Dog Obedience
If you need help in establishing good conduct and curbing bad habits, this course is for you.
Held at Kahle Community Center, on Thursdays, 7 - 8 pm, Fee is $80 per dog.

Pilates
Gain strength, flexibility and improve your posture. Strengthen targeted muscle groups and improve athletic performance.
Ongoing, held T/Sa, 10:15 - 11:30am. Fee is $11 per class or purchase a punch card.

CPR
An American Red Cross class for CPR and foreign body airway obstruction and prudent heart living.
Held at Round Hill Fire Station on Thursdays, February 11, 6 - 9 pm. Fee is $30.

Chisel'd
This class is an awesome strength training program utilizing light barbells and hand weights.
Ongoing, held T/Th, 12:10 - 1pm. Fee is $10 per class or punch cards are available.

Jazzercise
With fresh choreography to music you love, this is a program that's anything but routine.
Ongoing, held M/W/F/Sa at 9 am, T/Th 5:30 pm. Fee is $10 per class payable to instructor.

Physio-Ball Exercise
Core strength exercises on the ball to improve balance, flexibility and strength..
Ongoing, held M/F at 9 - 10am. 

Tae Kwon Do
An effective self-defense program that includes personal development, character development and discipline.
Held on Wednesdays, 6 - 7:30 pm, Fee is $18/$24/$30 per month.

Yoga
Stretch yourself to a better night's sleep, a healthier heart, and a happier outlook!
Ongoing, held T/F, 12:30 - 1:30 pm. Fee is $10 per class or purchase punch card.

Philippine Stick Fighting Arnis
Arnis is simple to learn and requires no special conditioning or raw physical strength.
Held on Wednesdays, 7:30m - 8:30pm, Fee is $18/$24/$30 per month.

AARP Driver Safety Course, Ages 55 and up
The purpose of the class is to help seniors continue to be safe drivers as long as possible. Those who complete the course may be eligible for a discount on their auto insurance.
Saturday, May 22 from 8:30am - 5pm. Fee is $10. 

Adult Sports
All players must be a pass holder to the Community Center or pay the $7 drop in fee. Basketball and Volleyball continuous, various days and times.  Come join the fun in an informal atmosphere with players of various skill levels.

Trail Trekkers
Join us for a one hour walk around our indoor walking track. Meet in the lobby at Kahle Community Center. You must be a pass holder or pay the $7 drop in fee. Held Wednesdays at 9 am.

Adult 5 on 5 Basketball League
Registration 2/3 - full, Starts on 3/23. Cost $450 per team.
