Sewer Rate Analysis
Douglas County will be proposing that the Board of County Commissioners amend the monthly sewer rates. A public hearing on the proposed Resolution will be held during the regularly scheduled Board of County Commissioners meeting on March 1, 2012 at the Douglas County Administration Building (Historic Courthouse), 1616 8th Street, Minden, Nevada. At the conclusion of the March 1, 2012 meeting the Board may adopt the proposed Resolution. Click here to see the presentation that was made to the Board at the January 19, 2012 meeting.
Douglas County Conservation Bill
Click here to see information on the Douglas County Conservation Bill. The Board of Commissioners is scheduled to hear a presentation on the components and framework of the bill on February 2, 2012. Public comment will be heard on the item, but no action will be taken. Public comment will also be taken at the Board's February 16, 2012 meeting at which time the Board may consider taking action.

Christmas Tree Recycling
Christmas tree recycling is available until the end of January. Click here for information on drop off sites. Remember to remove all decorations and nails. The tree must be less than 6' in length and no flocked trees will be accepted.

The Draft of the Douglas County 2011 Master Plan is now available for public review and comment and may be downloaded as one file or as separate chapters.
