Strategic Plan
The County's Strategic Plan is a living, breathing document. The Board of County Commissioners receives regular progress updates to the Plan and makes modifications as needed.
The County's Strategic Plan was first adopted in May of 2008 and contained eight priorities and 53 objectives. In February of 2009 and March of 2010, the Board modified the plan to narrow its focus, provide clear directions about its priorities, and respond to economic challenges and reduced staffing levels.
Beginning in February of 2011 the Board participated in a number of workshops for creating a new Strategic Plan, as strategic plans are best managed for specific periods of time. The new plan consists of six priorities and 25 objectives to be accomplished over the next two to three years.
