General Information
Conditions for the detention of youth in the Douglas County Juvenile Detention Center are mandated by Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 62C.
All youth entering the Douglas County Juvenile Detention Center will be screened by a juvenile risk assessment instrument establishing the grounds for taking the child into custody.
The Douglas County Juvenile Probation Department on call juvenile probation officer is the primary contact for the authorization of youth being screened and detained in the facility.
Family Visitation in the facility is on Saturdays and Sundays evenings from 6: 30 to 8:00 PM. In half hour time slots.
