Park Facilities
Lampe Park
Lampe Park is the crown jewel of the Douglas County park system. It is a 32-acre facility, located on Waterloo Lane on the west side of US 395. The park was completed in 1975 and includes 3 softball and 2 hardball fields, a soccer field, two volleyball courts, a restroom/concession building, and a group picnic shelter. There are numerous picnic tables and benches throughout the park where families can come to feed the ducks and geese along Willow Creek, or enjoy the largest playground structure in Northern Nevada. The hardball fields are the home of the older division of Carson Valley Little League and Whittel High School.
Stodick Park
Stodick Park is an 11 acre park that is located on Toler Road, on the east side of US 395. Useable amenities include one tot ball field, four softball fields with soccer field overlays, picnic areas, concession/bathroom building, and paved parking. It is the home of the Carson Valley Girl's Softball Association from April to July, and Pop Warner Football from August to November.
Ranchos Aspen Park
Ranchos Aspen Park is located in the Gardnerville Ranchos, off Muir and Lyell Streets. This 17-acre park boasts a soccer field, paved pathways, horseshoe pits, a sand volleyball court, multiple play areas, a group pavilion, that is available to rent for your parties of up to 75 people, and a 4-field youth baseball complex, which is home to the younger divisions of the Carson Valley Little League.
Johnson Lane Park
Johnson Lane Park is a 5-acre park, located on Stephanie Lane in the Johnson Lane area. Users of the park enjoy a 2-acre softball/baseball/soccer field, outdoor basketball court, restrooms, group picnic shelter, child play area, and parking area.
Topaz Ranch Estates Park
Topaz Ranch Estates Park is located in the southern end of Douglas County on Carter Way. The 8-acre site has a community recreation building with restrooms and kitchen, a play area, youth baseball field, basketball court, picnic area and horseshoe pits.
Topaz Lake Recreation Area
Topaz Lake Recreation Area is located on Topaz Lake just off U.S. Highway 395 near the Nevada-California border. There are 15 reservable R.V. campsites available with water and power hookups; 13 non-reservable R.V. campsites with water only; and an additional 42 dry campsites. Primitive camping is available in undeveloped areas. Amenities include boat ramp with two docks, fish cleaning station, showers, flush toilets and pit toilets. Zephyr Cove Park
Zephyr Cove is an 80-acre park, with 8 developed acres, located at Hwy 50 and Warrior Way. Major park amenities include a softball/soccer field, large group picnic area, 6 tennis courts, play area, exercise trail system, 18 hole disc golf course and restrooms. With the Douglas County library branch on site, there are plenty of places to enjoy the outdoors and a good book at the same time.
Kahle Park
Kahle Park is a 19 acre park nestled into the trees just above where U.S. Highway 50 intersects with Kingsbury Grade, and is also home of the Kahle Community Center. This park features a baseball/softball field, two soccer fields, two play areas, a group picnic pavilion, outdoor basketball hoops, a pedestrian/bicycle path, and a concession/restroom building.
Brautovich Park
George Brautovich Park is located on Andria Way, just off the Kingsbury Grade. This cozy 5-acre community park includes a 1.5-acre junior soccer field, play area and horseshoe pits.
