Parent Awareness
China Spring Youth Camp/Aurora Pines Girls Facility counselors and case managers will address many issues with the residents of the facility. One of the most important issues is the reintegration into the family. It is our sincere desire to make this transition as smooth as possible. One of the key steps we have taken to ensure success is to institute a parent awareness class. The parent awareness class is facilitated by a marriage and family therapist. This process will focus on the changes the resident is expected to make and how these changes may affect the family. Because it is important to the residents' success, we recommend parents and/or guardians attend at least three parent awareness classes. The classes are held Fridays from 3:15 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. in the lobby of the boys' dormitory and 1:00 - 2:30 in the visiting areas of the girl's dormitory.
