Animal Services has many responsibilities including:

  Issuing dog licenses as required by law.

  Impounding stray dogs.

  Enforcing animal control ordinances.

  Finding good homes for shelter dogs and cats.

  Investigation and follow-up of animal-inflicted injuries.

  Observing and examining impounded animals for rabies.

  Investigation of animal cruelty, and nuisance animal comlaints.


 Our Mission:

To protect the health and welfare of the community by maintaining rabies control programs.  To educate the public on rabies prevention and responsible pet ownership.  To provide innovative, caring customer service for our expanding community through education, enforcement, and the promotion of humane ethics.  To maintain successful adoptions of unwanted or released strays.
