Congregate Dining
The Douglas County Senior Center serves lunch Monday - Friday at 12:00 p.m. at the Senior Center.  Reservations are not required.  The suggested donation for lunch is $2.00 each day for Seniors 60 years and older and those under 60 years, it is $3.50.

Topaz Congregate Dining
Congregate Dining is provided each Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at the Topaz Ranch Estates Community Center located at 3939 Carter Way.

Meals on Wheels
All Seniors 60 years and older who are physically, mentally incapacitated and/or unable to leave the house can receive 7 frozen meals every Thursday to in-town and the Ranchos.  Delivery is limited to two separate routes, serving Minden to Ironwood Drive and Waterloo Lane to the Ranchos.

Frozen Meals on Wheels
14 frozen meals are delivered bi-monthly to the outlying areas that extend as far as Topaz Ranch Estates, Indian Hills and Stateline.  The suggested donation is $2.00 per meal.

Homemaker Assistance
if you are 60 years and older, do not have an able bodied adult living with you, and are unable to do daily household chores due to physical and/or mental illnesses, you can receive homemaker service.  The service provides weekly or bi-weekly visits or basic cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping and limited personal care assistance.  Services are restricted to conclude a completion of any medical concerns or one-year duration.  The suggested donations for service are $2.00 an hour.

Transportation
Transportation is provided for all seniors 60 years and older, Monday through Friday.  Round trip medical transportation can be provided for local, Stateline, and Carson City appointments.  Due to increased demand, we do require at least a two-week notice on appointments to insure service.  The suggested donations for rides are $4.00 locally, $6.00 Carson City.  Please call (775) 783-6456 to book an appointment.

Other Services
Legal assistance, hearing checks, bingo, ceramics, gift shop, card playing, resistance exercise and low impact exercise, bereavement and Alzheimer's support groups, bus trips, special events, American Association of Retired Persons, and much more.
