"Getting Around Douglas County"

Looking for information about bus services in and around Douglas County?  There are several public transit options depending on where you live or where you want to travel.

Carson Valley Options
DART (Douglas Area Rapid Transit) offers Dial-a-Ride transportation for seniors, special needs, and the general public.  Advance ride requests are required.  For medical transportation, at least two weeks notice is required.  Services are provided Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m..  Please call (775) 783-6456 to schedule a ride.

Lake Tahoe Options
BlueGO is a service of the South Tahoe Area Transit Authority.  BlueGO provides fixed route, demand response, ski shuttles, seasonal trolley service and commuter express routes on the south shore of Lake Tahoe and to the Carson Valley. 

BlueGO operates seven days a week, 24 hours per day with headways ranging from 20 to 60 minutes depending on the route.  BlueGO Route 20X - Kingsbury Express also provides service to the Carson Valley area and BlueGO Route 21X - Carson City Express provides service to Carson City.  Click here to go directly to their website, or call (530) 541-7149 for more information.
