Douglas County Juvenile Detention Center
at State Line Nevada
 
The Douglas County Juvenile Detention Facility is co-located in the east wing of the Douglas County Jail, which is located at 175 Highway 50, Stateline, Nevada. The entrance to the Detention Center is via the east entry door located under the covered parking area.
 
The capacity of the detention center is 16 youth co-ed ,
 
The Detention Center serves Douglas County, as well as other contract counties and agencies including Churchill County, Lyon County, Nye County, Mineral County, and State Parole.
 
All of the living units were constructed in compliance with the Federal guidelines for correctional facilities specifically American Correctional Association standards for detention facilities, Nevada Association Of Juvenile Justice Administrators Standards for Detention Facilities and Juvenile Detention Alternative Initiative. The detention center is staffed by 10 full time employees who manage the logistics and operations of the facility on a 24 hour basis. They are professionals dedicated to preserving the health,safety, and welfare of youth in their care.
 
Administrative offices for the juvenile detention center and the Lake Tahoe Division of the juvenile Probation Department are located upstairs at 175 Highway 50 Stateline Nevada staff,
