Assessor Parcel Maps

The Douglas County Assessor Parcel Maps are maintained for the Assessor's Office by the GIS Department. Mapping breakdown is based on the geographic location utilizing the Township, Range and Section and is reflected in the page number and the assessor's parcel numbers. As recorded documents are forwarded to the GIS Department the parcel base is updated. Barring any unforeseen problems, updates are generally completed within a two week window. Assessor Parcel Numbers (APNs) are assigned by the GIS Department as parcels are adjusted or split. The new parcel numbers are reviewed and approved by the Assessor's Office and are not final until entered into the assessor's database.

The Assessor Parcel Maps are widely used and often relied upon as complete information about properties. The Assessor Parcel Maps do not reflect all the information of a recorded document and should never be used as a replacement for a recorded document. They are intended for appraisal purposes by the Assessor's Office.

Assessor maps are available for viewing or printing from the Assessor's Webpage. An index of the assessor's map pages is available for purchase in hard copy or PDF format. Custom maps of parcel information can also be purchased.
