We are committed to providing a safe, clean and attractive Senior Center in a customer-focused environment for all participants to utilize and enjoy. The Senior Center provides the senior community an opportunity to socialize, enjoy a nutritious meal and get involved in a number of different activities, special events and excursions.
Nutrition Program Changes
Effective April 2014, all nutrition programs provided through Douglas County Senior Services will see in increase in the suggested donation for seniors that are 60 years and older. The suggested donation was moved from $2.00 to $3.00. Douglas County residents 59 and younger will assessed a manditory charge $5.00.
Big Mama's Show and Shine
We are excited to announce that on May 10, 2014 in Lampe Park the Douglas County Senior Services will host the 14th annual Show and Shine to raise funds for the Home Delivered Meal Program which provides 32,400 meals to homebound seniors living in Douglas County. New Community and Senior Center
The Douglas County Community and Senior Center
Located at 1329 Waterloo Lane, Gardnerville, NV 89410
In Herbig Park across the street from Lampe Park and next to the Carson Valley Skate Board Park.
The Community and Senior Center will be a place where the whole family will gather. It is projected to open April 201. The construction contract cost is $16.9 million which includes $14.5 million for the actual building construction planned to be Square footage 83,000 sq. ft.
